WITH LOTS OF TREATS LIKE THIS…blehhhhh!!!!blehhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!
blehhhh!!!! blehhhhh!!!! blehhhhh!!!! and blehhhh!!!!

Sometimes I over indulge myself in words and get these silly little things stuck in my craw. They just won’t let me rest until I write them down spew them out like that ↑. My question is this:

Does a haiku tell
stories with just seventeen
syllables, like that?

  1. Cute haiku. I like Tanka better. They give you more syllables to work with. 🙂

Yes, that was a fascinating question. My mother gave or sold things without consulting me every time she moved. Would I have liked them? Some, yes. I would have liked to have the chance at them, certainly. My things….are they family things? How do my kids view them? You know that one question just leads to more.

What I did was let the kids pick what they wanted during several moves of my own. I got rid of nothing without consulting them.

But we have to downsize. From a giant house, G and I have shrunk ourselves into a small condo. What we lived with in the big house, won’t fit in this one. We still have too much stuff and some of it does have to go. We will see what happens when I bring the dining room table and the bookcase back up stairs. 🙂

  2. Hi there–I just wanted to tell you that I enjoy your blog..realized today when I visited that I had been here before but didn’t leave a note. I love your slide show and the song–now it’s in my head and I can’t get it out!
I’ll come back often and am going to add your site to my favourites. Thanks for sharing.

    • So glad you found me, Sylvia. I see you’re a writer, too. I’ll be around to visit your blogspace soon. I’m expecting trick or treaters any minute, and one of those snack sized Butterfingers keep calling my name!

It's always nice to know what you're thinking...
